DESCRIPTION
We were asked to reconsider the elevation of an 19th century villa in the famed Konstancin suburb of Warsaw, known for its extravagant pre-war villas.  The elevation is currently clad in yellow painted architectural plaster ornament - added during its last renovation. We’ve decided to strip the villa of this fake historicizing ornament and clad the villa in a noble and local sandstone.

Additionally, we were asked to consider a new orangerie that would compose well with the elevation. It was our approach not to mimic a 19th century orangerie, but to create a contemporary minimal form that would both compliment the historical structure and compose well with the new noble sandstone elevation.
